New Wine Coming!
After much anticipation, we are awaiting shippment of Alchemy. Alchemy is a hand made creation of Winemaker Alphonse DeRose and friends. Inspired by a late night evening of music played by Chilean friends Juan Pablo and Omar, the three concocted a vision of only the best grapes being processed 100% by hand. Each berry is hand removed from every cluster one by one. The result is a robust wine with aromas of dark red fruits, spice and toast. Alchemy is only produced from exceptional years and has limited availability with only 250 cases produced! Alchemy is made from Cabernet Sauvignon (65%), Syrah (20%), Carmenere (10%) and Cabernet Franc. (5%). Call to reserve your case now.

Wine Clubs
The Spring Wine Club shipment includes 2006 Dryfarmed Negrette ($37.50/btl., $30.00 Wine Club) and our 2005 DeRose Chardonnay($16/btl., $12.80 Wine Club).

2005 DeRose Chardonnay. The DeRose chardonnay is a creamier, rounder version of our Sharknose Chardonnay. It is still a fruity, more tropical chard, only left in barrel slightly longer and with more lees stirring to give the wine its extra body and layers of complexity.  Lees in the sediment that develops on the bottom of the barrel and when stirred (1-2 times weekly), rounds the wine and gives it another dimension.

2006 Dryfarmed Negrette. This rare gem of the Cienega Valley is a winner this year. Producing only about 30 cases of wine per acre, this dark, inky black wine is a perfect match for your favorite lamb dish.  The Negrette is drinking well now with its soft, silky tannins, wild plum nose and long lingering finish, and will develop for up to 5 additional years of cellaring.  Only 250 cases produced so don’t wait to place your next order because it always goes fast!
